Jack Dyer, M.D.

Jack Dyer, M.D. Graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1983. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and completed an internship in General Surgery. Dr. Dyer completed the family Practice residency program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. He now serves as associate professor of Family Medicine at Texas Tech. He has been involved in missions for the past several years and participated in two medical mission efforts with the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock. Believing in the benefits of this program, Dr. Dyer has been instrumental in bringing other doctors in residency on medical mission trips.

Gary Patterson

Patti J. Patterson, M.D.

Dr Patterson is Vice President for Rural and Community Health of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She holds the Marie Hall Endowed Chair in Rural Health and is a Professor of Pediatrics. Dr. Patterson's public health career includes 12 years of experience with the Texas Department of Health, serving numerous posts including Executive Deputy Commissioner and Interim Commissioner of Heath. Dr. Patterson holds a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is Board certified in Pediatrics. She also has a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Heath Sciences Center in Houston. Dr. Patterson has participated in 28 medical mission trips to Central America, South America, Eastern Europe, and Africa.

Scott E. Zapalac - President & Executive Director

Scott serves as the President of Olive Branch Ministries. He was formerly the director of Forrister Ministries and Immeasurably More, Inc. respectively; serving in that position for eight years. Scott holds a B.S. degree in Applied Math and Computer Science from the University of Houston in 1980. He continued his education receiving a B.A. degree in Bible from Harding University in 1983 and upon its completion served as a youth minister for two years in Illinois. He completed his formal education at the University of Texas receiving a Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation with an emphasis on work with the deaf and blind. Dr. Patti Patterson and Scott were married in 1991 and in doing so secure a firm partnership in medical missions and missions in general. Since his first participation in medical missions in 1988, Scott has participated in over 40 medical missions in 7 countries and lead over 30 teams.

Mike Ezzell

Mike is currently the corporate safety director for Gregory and Cook Construction in Houston, TX. In addition to working as an elementary counselor, State Representative and Special Assistant to the TX Commissioner of Health since receiving his BSEd and MEd from Abilene Christian University in 1969 he has preached for congregations in Snyder, Dunn, Fluvanna, and Austin TX. He has preached for the congregation that meets in Ezzell, TX since 1990. He and his wife Betty have two children. Mike has been on numerous medical mission trips with Partners in Progress, Forrister Ministries, Immeasurably More and Olive Branch Ministries to South America, Africa and Central America since 1988.
